Stay Present to Raise Your Vibration
Do you stay present most of the time? Or instead, does your mind often race out in front of you to worries about the future?
If you’ve been working to raise your vibration on a regular basis, you understand that the trick to a high vibration is managing your emotional state. Anxiety or worry about the future is a vibe killer.
Ultimately, the goal is to spend as much time as possible in a happy, content or uplifted state of being.
Sometimes, this is easy. However, when it’s not there’s an easy trick you can use to get back on track: just stay present.
Staying present is integral to your vibrational work because it pulls you back into the flow of the current moment.
When we are stressed, angry or sad we are ALWAYS focused on something other than the present moment. Either we are worried about the future, or looking back with disappointment.
Even if there is something that is occurring in the present moment that makes it FEEL like the present is upsetting us it isn’t the situation that is causing the problem. Rather it is our choice to think too deeply about the situation as it relates to the past or the future.
Let’s say that your kids are screaming in the car, and you feel your blood pressure start to rise. It may feel like the present is causing your vibration to dip. Nevertheless, your irritation isn’t actually occurring because your kids are screaming.
Instead, your annoyance occurs because you are reacting to your children’s behavior. Perhaps you are thinking something along the lines like “are they going to drive me nuts for the whole ride?” (relating their behavior to the future). Or perhaps “why are they always so misbehaved?” (relating their behavior to the past).
Instead, in moments like this, come back into yourself and focus only on what is going on in the present moment. Focus on your breathing, or the other cars on the road. Focus only one what is going on in the present moment, without judging it on how it relates to the past or the future.
You’ll find that grounding back into the present in moments of distress, sadness or anger can be a very effective way of getting your vibe back on track.
