“Communicate with kindness. Let people open up in their own time.” was written by guest contributor, Babajide Faseyi.

The person you are trying so hard to convince your point to is so different from you that it would surprise you just how different they were from you if you truly knew every single way that they are different from you.

And because the other person is so different from you, it is more effective to communicate with them in a gentle way rather than in a forceful or demanding way. Because when you are gentle, it is easier for what you are saying to be felt in a deeper place by the other person.

When you are gentle in your heart as communicate with another person, the person will recognize that you are in a gentle state, and this has the power to affect them in a positive way.

When we put love before and after but also into our words and actions, then our words and actions become filled with the power of love, and love is gentle and kind.

When our words and actions begin to consistently show that we do not need to be in control of others, and that we can love them as they are without trying to change them, is when others will open up to us more. We get our thoughts across to others more effectively when we act and speak in loving and gentle ways, rather than by forceful and demanding ways.

Blessings, Babajide

About the Author: My name is Babajide Faseyi.  I was born and raised in Nigeria and then moved to the United States for college at the age of 19.  In my 20’s, I became acutely aware that there was more to life than I had been taught and this led me to a deep search.  I read voraciously.  After a period of disillusionment with not having an outlet for the creativity that I felt within myself, I encountered Eckhart Tolle’s book, The Power of Now.  And thus, the journey of knowing who I truly am and the discovery of what I have to offer creatively began.  The links to my facebook pages where my writings are posted are –facebook.com/bababajide and facebook.com/babajideinc.
