How to Be Amazing

“How to Be Amazing” was written by guest contributor, Samuel Kronen.

Life is amazing. People are amazing. Experience is amazing.

The fact that anything exists at all is…You got it. Amazing.

Yet, it seems as though we have perhaps let this escape us. We have moved away from this fundamental sense of astonishment and wonder. We have become detached from our childlike nature, that quality of constant newness and curiosity, and for this we suffer.

We suffer because we are not amazing, or rather because we are not connected with the innate amazingness of existence. This why we felt it important to discuss what it means to be amazing and how we might go about pursuing it, for if we ourselves are amazing then we invariably project that frequency to the world.

To be amazing is to be intertwined with nature, to see through the eyes of God.

This is to say that when we come to embody pure consciousness, direct perception, we move towards living an amazing life, for to live wholly in the present moment is to act as an integral part of nature.

To have the light of our awareness directed solely upon the now, that holy space between stimulus and response, is to heighten the frequency of our existence. Herein we come to reconnect with that inherent sense of wonder and possibility that we previously alluded to, this quality of living amidst the beautiful mystery of life.

When we awaken to the immediacy of felt experience, the utter vibrancy of the here and now, the subtleties of life are then recognized, and it is these subtleties and underlying features that make life worth living. It is the gray areas, rather than the black or the white, that make this ride such a wonderful adventure.

This is what it means to be amazing; to acknowledge the depth and artistry of the seemingly mundane. To see one’s own experience as having innate consequence, as being absolutely fundamental, as containing an inherent piece of the cosmic puzzle, is to live in sheer amazement.

Again, to live without this sense of amazement, this quality of experiential novelty, is to move towards pain and sorrow. To be without wonder, without marvel, is to inexorably suffer, and this quality of wonder is derived from a direct and immediate sense of the present moment.

We must live fully, for not to do so is to suffer. We must be amazing.

We don’t have the option of being happily marginal, blissfully trivial, joyfully boring. To live in monotony and mundanity is to experience suffering. There is simply no way around it.

So, it is imperative that we embrace this sense of amazement, this connection with our innate childlike earnestness and vigor, for without this sense we are surely disconnected from our own humanity, our own ingenuity, our own nature. Without this zestfulness, this aliveness, we are essentially walking zombies, the living dead. Here we have no purpose or place, no destiny or meaning.

To be amazing is to live a life of meaning, a life of potency and significance. This is our highest calling, our greatest aspiration. This is our lifeblood.

So, it is necessary and vital that we live an amazing life, and we come to live such a life through tapping into the energy field of the present moment. When we move in accordance with immediate experience, in sync with the now, we elicit this sense of wonderment and fascination that is absolutely intrinsic to living a happy life.
