Negative thoughts about other people
“Negative thoughts about other people” was written by guest contributor, Babajide Faseyi.
There is no way we can control the thoughts that run through our minds. Many times our minds have a mind of their own and we can’t stop thoughts from flying in and out, but what we can control is the light in which we judge the thoughts that we have.
Have you ever had a strange thought and then thought right after that, what in the world was up with all that? So then think about how thoughts of you come up in the minds of others, how would you want them to judge the thoughts that they have about you?
Thoughts come flying in and out but what doesn’t come flying in and out is you. Thoughts arrive in your space but right after that, it is up to you to decide what to do with a thought that has visited you.

Let’s say you were not happy with a person and then you had a negative thought about them, and then by chance, that negative thing ended up happening to them, would you be proud to know that it was your thought that caused it to happen?
I hope your answer to that question is no but if your answer does happen to be yes, it means you have also said yes to the golden rule. You have accepted that when anyone isn’t happy with you and they have a negative thought about you, then it is okay for what they thought about to happen to you.
Blessings, Babajide

About the Author: My name is Babajide Faseyi. I was born and raised in Nigeria and then moved to the United States for college at the age of 19. In my 20’s, I became acutely aware that there was more to life than I had been taught and this led me to a deep search. I read voraciously. After a period of disillusionment with not having an outlet for the creativity that I felt within myself, I encountered Eckhart Tolle’s book, The Power of Now. And thus, the journey of knowing who I truly am and the discovery of what I have to offer creatively began. Means we need some wisdom sometimes, e.g. we have to judge the real situation face to face with that person, to deal with him/her, to evaluate their actions, that time we could somehow judge/know the exact thing about it, thus we have to take our thoughts as mind-analyzing method to evaluate things, but it’s just a thought no more no less, that thought brought to you to meditate about something could be matter, e.g. the other person already thinking about you right now, that’s why the thought came to you, to tell you to start pushing away the negatives and concentrate about the positives. ,
