What are you thinking and believing?

“What are you thinking and believing?”was written by guest contributor Babajide Faseyi.

Okay, so you haven’t been able to buy yourself some new shoes in quite a while. But who was it that told you that you have to have new shoes and that they are absolutely necessary for you to be happy?

Okay, so you have been feeling a bit lonely and you can’t seem to find the right fit of the person you would like to be with. But who was it that told you that the finding of this person is absolutely necessary for what you need to grow and to develop into the best version of yourself at this time?

I’d like to know who told you these things. And I’d like to know why you trusted them enough to hold onto their thoughts and beliefs.

The majority of the thoughts that make us unhappy are thoughts that when we investigate and question, we will find are not absolutely true.

The majority of the feelings that weigh us down and make us respond to the world and to the people around us in a way that is not coming from love, is because we have been taught to believe so many things that are simply not true.

Blessings, Babajide

So after reading this article, when my parents try to make me do something that i am not quiet okay with, i ask this question to them ” who made these laws” whose beliefs are these? They get quiet. They realized that all their life they have been restricting and living by the rules that dont even make sense but they do it. Hahahaha…
Through you, i helped them to stop and think for a second before they follow any rules made by another human
    Hugs.

Amazing! That’s pretty cool NV 🙂 What’s even better is that you have the conviction to speak your truth, even in the presence of what most people would consider authority. Well done!
