Do You Feel Bad About Being Negative?

When people learn about the Law of Attraction, they often really want to make an effort to be more positive.  They try to act kinder, use more positive language and they often try to spread a little more love and cheer. At all costs, they usually want to avoid being negative.

This is GREAT, and it absolutely helps you raise your vibration and improve the quality of your life.  However, there’s often a little unintended consequence that comes along with this new life strategy.

I call this unintended consequence “negative guilt.”

What’s “negative guilt?”

Negative guilt occurs when we beat up on ourselves for being negative, complaining or having a low vibrational moment.  We know we attract a better reality when we are happy, upbeat and loving, so it’s natural for us to be a little disappointed when we aren’t exhibiting these emotions and behaviors.

The problem with this is that guilt is a lower vibrational emotion itself.  When we beat up on ourselves for not being “perfect,” we actually push our vibration down even further than it was when we had the negative moment.

You’re still allowed to be human!

So, the next time you have a negative moment, do yourself a favor.  Go easy on yourself, and tell yourself it’s OK to have a negative moment. Being negative in a challenging moment isn’t the end of the world!

Through accepting the bad times without criticizing yourself, you’ll make it much easier to get over the low moments and back into the positive vibe you’ve been wanting to radiate.

We’re not perfect, and we’re going to have some moments that are better than others.  Accept yourself as you are and allow yourself to fluctuate.

Go with the flow of your emotions, even if they take you somewhere you don’t want to be. Going with the flow is always the path back to your happiness.

    Hi Andrea, at times I do come across negative people that put me in that way, I try to brush it off and start to think positive after I have responded to their negativity especially when I think positive, I hate how it makes me feel, but at that moment I just lash out, and than I leave the area, and start to think happy thoughts, this article is so spot on because its like I was meant to receive it especially when the first thing this morning my positivity was being tested.

    Hi Andrea, I must say “wow” cause from couple of days i’m just feeling blah about the things that’s happening around me and my mind definitely did have a thought of what you just said. I sometimes try to decode as to why something is happening…so i tried this time as well and i ended being there only with my thoughts even more muddled up. I want to change the flow of things that is happening around me..cause most of them are triggering on the aspects which i seldom want to have and experience.
