11 Positive Affirmations to Start the Day Off Right

Could you use some new positive affirmations to start the day off right?

Today’s post is very relevant to me because this morning I woke up a little uneasy. Not sure why, but my thoughts immediately went a little dark. Worries about the future, what I had to do, what I hadn’t done yet. You know, the usual “negative thinking” patterns that like to pop up now and again.

In moments like this, I like to stay in bed for a minute and identify a few positive affirmations to start the day off right. I’ve found there’s just literally no sense in getting out of bed and slugging it through the day until I’ve uplifted myself a little. It works much better to get my mind right before I get going.

So, here are a few positive affirmations I recited this morning to myself. After a few minutes, I felt much better, and so far my day is off to a great start!

Pick a few that resonate with you, and try them out.  See what you think!

1. “I am looking forward to the fun surprises that will pop up today.”

2. “My goal today is to enjoy the moments as they come.”

3. “I know that I can have a great day if I just relax and choose to enjoy it.”

4. “Today I am going to look for reasons to be happy.”

5. “There are good things in my near future that right now I am on the path to discover.”

6. “I choose to be a positive influence today, to myself and to the world.”

7. “I know I can tap into my greatness when I choose to go with the flow.”

8. “I can make this world a brighter place through a shift in my perspective.”

9. “I have many reasons to choose to be happy today.”

10. “I’m not sure what’s going to happen today, but I know if I stay positive it will be good.”

11. “I am the only one who is in charge of my reality, and I’m the only one who has the power to make it wonderful.”

    Hi Andrea, those are the good bunch of affirmations to start the day.. Its so important to start the day in the right spirit..i’m mean off late i get caught up in the usual routine of wake up , usual exercise routine, hurry up to get ready for work (amidst this i need to make time for my preparations for the exam else i’m guilty about it) come back exhausted hit the bed and same thing starts of again…:D

    So this really helps me to get up energetically (as i most of the times try to sort of comfort myself saying the energy level is what it is because of the little hours of sleep that i get..which is about 5 hours)

    Yes Rashmie…affirmations can help set the tone for you for sure! Also, it’s good to know that not everyone requires large amounts of sleep. Sometimes 5 is plenty for some people <3

    Thanks Andrea, this has popped up just when I need it. Have had a few days of low vibrating, high anxiety. Haven’t felt this bad in quite a while. A few stressful things going on that have really affected me. Has been so hard to lift myself out of it. In the end I decided I’ve done everything I can to help myself, now just accept it, go with the flow and horrible as it is, it will pass probably at a time and in a way I’m not expecting. It started to shift yesterday thankfully. This is a great way to start my morning. Thank you.

    Yes, agreed Andrea (you’re right about the sleep hours) I guess its the mind that plays the trick here as well… Do you have any articles written on the sleep hours and our mindset based on that or anything as such.. I guess it would provide more clarity for all of us and help us in a big way!!

    Hmm, no not any articles on hours of sleep…but I have heard that more sleep is often needed when we are in the lower vibrational states. So, when I find myself needing less I often pat myself on the back LOL!
