Are You Escaping or Embracing Your Life?

Are you using the Law of Attraction to escape your life as it is, or are you embracing your life for everything it already contains within it?

In working with people with the Law of Attraction, I’ve noticed that there is something that often gets in the way of deliberate manifestation: The attempt to “escape” one’s life as it is in the present moment.

The paradox of the LOA

It’s important to understand that the Law of Attraction works by virtue of paradox. We have to make peace with where we are in order to get something that brings us greater peace. We are unable to ask for that which we don’t already “have” (vibrationally) and actually get it.

In other words, if you want money, but you feel poor, the money isn’t going to come. You must feel prosperous as you are in order to attract more money.

This, unfortunately, runs counter to how many people attempt to manifest.

The LOA error people frequently make

Most people, when they first look at the Law of Attraction, they think to themselves “here is an opportunity to escape my poor financial situation/bad love life/crappy friendships/etc.”

So, these people seek to attract new things in order to escape the life they do not like. They try to attract money to escape financial insecurity. They try to attract love to escape loneliness or a new job to escape a bad one.

However, when we attempt to manifest by escapism, we find we cannot escape.

See, the Law of Attraction doesn’t care what you are asking for. It cares what your focus is. If your focus is “I don’t like my life the way it is,” then you will continue to receive a life you do not like.

If, conversely, your focus is “I love my life for all it is,” then you will continue to receive more into your life for you to love.

So the trick most people miss is is in learning how to embrace what is. Learning how to love life exactly as it stands, and to evaluate the life you have already created as not only valid, but wonderful in many ways.

This may seem hard at first, especially when you are in the habit of evaluating your life in a negative light. If you are used to looking around at your surroundings and complaining or feeling badly, it will take some deliberate focus to turn this around.

That being said, a little bit of effort to embrace your life is a small price to pay for happiness, peace and prosperity.

Perspective is everything in the game. Learn to observe and evaluate your life as it stands for everything wonderful in it. Embracing your life will allow better things to come to you on a more consistent basis.
