Not Too Easy, Not Too Hard
For my friends who enjoy learning about the Law of Attraction, I had a moment of clarity about manifestation the other day that might just resonate with you too…and it came a couple of days ago while I was playing Candy Crush.
Like just about everyone else, around 5 years ago I got into the Candy Crush craze, and to this day I still play it from time to time. For those who haven’t played it before, it’s just a game app for your smartphone where you solve candy “puzzles,” one level after the next.
If you’ve ever played Candy Crush you’ve probably had the experience where some of the levels are really, really hard and take you days (or even weeks) to conquer. Others, are relatively easy, and you finish them on the first try with zero effort.
Then there are the levels that take you three or four tries. They’re not too easy, not too hard, but have just the right amount of difficulty.
These are my favorite levels on Candy Crush because they make me feel the challenge, but not so much that I get frustrated or bored with the level.
I think of creating our reality to be much the same way.
Some things come super, super easy. For some of us, it’s the parking spaces, the lucky signs, the sale items, or the five dollar scratch off tickets. Often these “easy” manifestations come almost instantaneously, because we have zero resistance to them. We believe they are easy to manifest and so they drop into our lap without effort. We blink, and there there are!
Other manifestations seem next to impossible for many of us After all, how many Law of Attraction enthusiasts want to win the lottery but have yet to strike it rich? How many people dream of being famous, or winning the Olympics, compared to how many people who actually reach these goals?
Unlike the easy levels, these harder manifestations often carry with them large amounts of resistance because it’s hard for many of us to believe we can have them. These difficult manifestations require us to either shed layer upon layer of limiting beliefs, or experience a massive quantum leap (which is fairly uncommon).
Then, there are the middle-range manifestations. The new friends. The promotions. The vacations. The fun dates.
These are the things we really want and get excited for, but we still have a decent degree of faith we may get them. It might take a little time for these particular manifestations to come, but it’s just enough time to enhance the fun of the chase.
Now, I don’t know about you, but my favorite manifestations are like the middle-levels of Candy Crush. Not too easy, not too hard.
I like really wanting something, but believing I might just have what it takes to get it. I also like a little bit of a challenge. After all, there’s not much fun to be had when things come without any resistance at all.
I guess I mention this because often people get very impatient with manifestations. Instead of reveling in the challenge, sometimes people give up on the first try because it didn’t happen instantly.

However, I honestly think we’d all be pretty disappointed and underwhelmed if every desire landed in our laps instantly, without a second thought.
After all, would I value my best friend as much as I do today, if finding a best friend was as easy as picking out fruit at the grocery store? Would I really feel excited about my new car if it dropped onto my driveway the moment I identified a desire for it? Would the event of having a baby be so monumental if it took only a second instead of 9 months?
Half of the fun is in the anticipation, and who in their right mind would really want to give that up?
So, do not be discouraged if the new car is taking a few weeks, or if the boyfriend is dragging his feet. Do not give up just because there is some uncertainty at your job or if you’re not sure if you’ve really hit it off with a new friend yet. Let it be ok if your search for the perfect home is taking a few weeks or if you’re still working up your skill level in a hobby or sport you enjoy.
Remember that a little waiting is all a part of the fun. Create your reality with the same attitude you would have during a game of Candy Crush. If it takes a couple tries to get what you want, all the better, because a little bit of challenge is what makes creation worth participating in.
Reset your game, and begin again. Accept the challenge, knowing you’re a little wiser since the last try. If you believe you can have it, don’t worry-you will!

Hi Andrea, a very good write up on the anticipation and being positive even at the time of waiting. I liked the way you’ve associated it with the candy crush..so realistic and easy to understand. I’ll probably say at the end it’s worth the wait when I get there ????
