10 Inspirational Quotes To Help You Achieve Your Dreams

Are you reaching for a new goal right now? We all can use a little motivation now and then to help give us the confidence we need to go after our desires.  With that being said, below are 10 inspirational quotes to help you achieve your dreams:

1. “The secret of getting ahead is getting started” – Mark Twain

The truth is, not a one of us knowns how we are going to achieve a goal.  The difference between those who actually achieve their goals and those do not often occurs right at the start.

Achievers just start walking down the path to their goal, and trust that they will be shown the way to their dream with time.  Non-achievers often let the “not knowing” prevent them from even beginning.  Take just one small step towards your dream and trust that you will be shown the next.

2. “Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory” – George S. Patton

Without a challenge, life would be so boring.  Allow yourself to go for the big dream, no matter how complicated or challenging it may seem from the start.  The hardest goals to achieve are also the most rewarding ones!

3. “Big shots are only little shots who keep shooting.” -Christopher Morley

We tend to think of people who have achieved big dreams as being these larger-than-life characters.  In truth, they are regular people just like you and me who chose to keep aiming higher and higher. You too can be a big shot if you just keep reaching for new goals!

4. “Leap, and the net will appear” -John Burroughs

Don’t let the fear of the unknown paralyze you from taking off in the direction of your dreams.  The universe supports those who believe in their dreams and in the possibility of achieving them!  Trust that all of the answers and support that you need are out there, and they will show up exactly when you need them.

5. “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop” -Confucius

Sometimes we may feel like we are barely getting anywhere with our goal, particularly in the beginning.  The good news is that every step forward helps gain the momentum you need to achieve your goal.  Like a snowball rolling downhill, your achievements will be small at first, but trust that as long as you keep moving, your progress will accelerate more quickly as you get closer and closer to your dream.

6. “Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.” -Sam Levenson

Remember that a watched pot never boils.  Much like a runner only loses time when they glance back to look for their opponent, keeping score of where you are in relation to your goal only impedes your progress.  Keep putting one foot in front of another, and keep your eyes looking forward.  This is the fastest path to success.

7. “The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph” -Thomas Paine

Many people give up on their dreams when the going gets tough.  Realize that when you are highly challenged, it means that you are going after a highly rewarding goal.  Be grateful for the tough times, the more of them you have, the better your payoff will be in the end.

8. “Even if you fall on your face, you’re still moving forward.” – Victor Kiam

Mistakes are a wonderful thing.  They teach you what you need to know to be successful and ultimately guide you towards achievement.  Don’t be discouraged when you fall.  Instead, know in your heart you are learning something valuable that will help you in the future.

9. “One finds limits by pushing them.” – Herbert Simon

We will never achieve true greatness in life by sticking to the beaten path.  Allow yourself to move past the norm and head out in a new direction!  Don’t be afraid to do things differently.

10. “Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.”  Harriet Beecher Stowe

When you feel stuck, keep pushing until you get out! That rut you are in is the universe’s way of testing your resolve.  Keep believing, and keep trying no matter the challenge.  Your resolve to stick with your goal in the hard times will ultimately be what opens the door to your dream.

Stay motivated!

Andrea 🙂

I enjoy your blog very much. Is it on my list of faves and find it very inspiring and encouraging. I have recently shared your posts with others interested in LOA.

I would like to add an observation. I often find these “inspirational lists” full of quotes from men, this list included. It is almost as if women never had/have anything inspiring to say and that as is often the case there is one token woman’s voice.

Thank you and please keep generating such awesome content

Hi Vicky! Glad you are enjoying my blog 🙂 Honestly, I didn’t put any thought at all into the gender of the quoters, so you make an interesting point! It is true that much of our history has come from the male perspective. Maybe I should write another list all from women! Thanks for your input.
