Wipe Out the Bad Vibes On Your Smartphone With Feng Shui!
By Jennifer Nguyen, Guest Contributor
Am I the only one who has recently come to the realization that my phone has gotten out of control?!
As I often focus my attention on clearing the clutter from my home and car I’ve completely overlooked how disorganized my phone has become! The steady flow of emails, text, missed calls are like the water element of Feng Shui and never stop flowing (and yes, this is my actual screen shot!).
I’m actively working on cleaning it up and wanted to share my three favorite ways to get your “Phone Chi” flowing again!
Tip #1: Feng Shui Your Inbox~
If you’re in as deep as I am you may be working on your inbox for a couple months. Be patient and enjoy the process you never know what treasures could be hiding in there. Once you’ve cleared the clutter keep the Chi flowing by checking emails daily and respond or delete!
Tip #2. Feng Shui Your Social Media~
Social media can be good thing and I’m grateful to have an outlet to stay connected but I’ve learned as with anything it’s important to keep a healthy balance not to get overwhelmed by social media clutter.
Limit your time spent on the sites and don’t get caught up in the popularity contest, limit your online friends to those who add value to your life and adjust your privacy settings so that you’re only sharing your online life with those you trust. Use your platform to honor what is called in a Feng Shui the “whole self”, Spirit (essence), Mind (intentions) and Body (appearance) to contribute to the good in the world.
Once you’ve cleared those old drunken photos you were tagged in years ago and friends who are no longer friends you’ll feel much lighter and fully present in your virtual world.
Tip #3. Feng Shui Your Photo Library ~
We’ve all went to snap a pic and had exceeded our pic limit (Right??!) Put on the spot to decide which photos to delete “but I love them all!!”
Avoid this by making it a routine to upload your pics to your PC. There are even some great new apps to have your pics printed into photo books! Keeping your pics cleared from your phone will organize memories making them easy to share and free up space so you’ll never miss out on a good photo op!
Thanks for reading!

About Jennifer Nguyen: As a licensed stylist and wellness enthusiast of over a decade I’ve always had a passion for being physically active and exposing the light in others.

In 2010 I was chosen to attend the Michael Coles Step Up summit where my spirit was awoken to chase my dreams of becoming an educator and motivator! My successful career in the salon industry has lent itself to my most recent journey of earning a college degree; this fall I will graduate with an Associates of Arts degree from EFSC and have been accepted into my bachelors program at the University of Central Florida.
I have kept my deep love for movement alive over the years; In 2013 I was a performer for international DJ Chan Ji Kim in Sound and Space and more recently as a yoga guide at both Peace Place Counseling & Wellness and the Yoga Surf School.
These days when I’m not playing on my mat or balancing my duties as a domestic goddess I can be found in my back yard garden, and chasing the Florida sun.
