3 Ways to Energize Your Morning Routine

Good Morning and Happy Feng Shui Friday!

Did you know morning stress sets the mood for the day? Rushing around trying to decide what to wear, what to eat and trying to tend to others needs will leave you out of balance. Waking up to a clean and organized space is the Feng Shui way to set yourself up for a successful and pleasant day!

Here are a few of my favorite ways to make sure I am capitalizing on those early morning Alpha brain waves that are filled with creativity and really let intentions, decisions and wisdom penetrate.

1. Pray Upon Waking~

Our minds are very quiet and receptive in the first 5-10 minutes that we awaken. Refrain from reaching for your phone and use that time to practice a little meditation to instantly relieve stress and boost happiness.

Remember our thoughts become things so close your eyes and visualize accomplishing your goals for the day. Mentally list a few things you’re grateful for, even when you’re half asleep your day will benefit from some positive thinking.

2. Lively Up Yourself~

Use an alarm clock that plays music. Choose an uplifting song that allows you to awaken gently. Set the volume loud enough to interrupt your sleep but not startle you out of bed! One of my favorites is “Could you be loved” by Bob Marley, what’s your wake-up song??

3. Create a Morning Ritual~

Bring the flow of wealth and good energy into your life by starting your morning with water. Try drinking luke warm purified water with fresh lemon juice to boost your immune system, energize and enhance your mood.

Stay in bed and stretch, head to your mat for a morning yoga flow or get outside for a run, whatever it takes to make YOU feel good and gets you moving!

Make the time to eat a heathy breakfast to provide your body with the nutrients and energy it needs. Chop veggies the night before to prepare a quick omelette packed with protein to prevent a mid morning slump. Delay social media contact until you’ve spent a few minutes reviewing your schedule and goals for the day. Take a breath, go outside and feel the sun on your face, enjoy a second cup of coffee knowing it will be an epic day and it will be!
