Do You Follow the Path of Least Resistance?
Do you know what the path of least resistance is? If so, do you think you follow the path of least resistance?
The path of least resistance is the path in life that is the easiest, and it’s the path in life that feels the best. It’s doing the best feeling thing that you can do in each moment.
When we follow the path of least resistance we feel connected and happy, and we allow good things to happen to us through the Law of Attraction. Our good feelings attract more good things into our lives, which means that the path of least resistance is always the most prosperous, healthy, abundant, successful and fulfilling path we can take.
If you’ve been attempting to deliberately apply the Law of Attraction to your life, finding and following the path of least resistance is a very important part of the journey!
The problem with finding the path of least resistance is that in many ways we have often been trained into following the path of greater resistance. We are taught at a young age that we have to “work hard,” that “there’s no gain without pain” and “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
Messages like these set the tone for strong belief in the “rightness” or “goodness” of struggle. Messages like these encourage us to effort our way through life, fight against our problems and endure negative feelings.
However, struggle, pain and hard work are NOT signs that you are on the path of least resistance!
As you can see, we’ve often been glorifying the path of greater resistance for a good chunk of our lives without even knowing it! Then, finding the path of least resistance can seem a little tricky, because it requires a serious change in focus.
So, if you’d like a little help finding the path of least resistance, here are a few suggestions.
First, get in tune with your happiness. Throughout each day, pause regularly and ask yourself “how am I feeling?”
If you’re feeling good, then you are on the path of least resistance. If you aren’t, you are on the path of greater resistance.
Next, ask yourself “what could I be doing that would feel better?”
Particularly if you’ve been feeling negatively, stop whatever you’re doing and find another activity that feels a little better, or find a way to make the current activity more pleasant. You could take a nap, or eat something, or whistle while you work. Reach for better feelings as often as possible.
Here’s the thing to remember: the Law of Attraction only works in your favor when you are feeling good. When you are feeling negatively, you are most certainly on the path of greater resistance, and as a result, you are attracting things you do not want into your life.
Now at this point, you might be thinking, “Well, how am I supposed to get anything done if I’m just having fun all day? I can’t just do what I want to do all day long, I’ll lose my job and my life will fall apart!”
Good point! However, here’s an important thing to keep in mind about work and responsibilities:
Sometimes work IS the path of least resistance.
If not going to work would make you worry about your future, then going to work is the better feeling option. If not doing your dishes would make a mess that stresses you out, then doing the dishes is the path of least resistance. If not paying your bills would throw you into a panic, then paying your bills is the path of least resistance.
In each of these cases, handling your responsibilities feels better than not handling your responsibilities. So, even though these aren’t the most fun things to do in the world, they are still on a better feeling, less resistant path!
So, this process isn’t about throwing all of your responsibilities and duties out of the window. It’s just about evaluating your choices, and choosing the option that feels better.
Keep up with your work and responsibilities if they make you feel more secure and protected, just make it your mission to do them as pleasantly as possible.
For example, if work is the path of least resistance, go to work but avoid the work gossip, take regular breaks, or listen to upbeat music. Find a way to do your work in the most pleasant way possible. This is the true path of least resistance.

Just remember, if it feels bad, you’re doing it “wrong.” Feeling bad is always a sign that you are on the path of greater resistance, and it’s your sign that you need to lighten up a little bit.
Listen to your emotional feedback and use it as a guide. Keep following the better feelings to stay on the path of least resistance, and allow good things to come into your life with ease!
