Law of Attraction Tip: Remember to Stay in Your Lane!

Here’s a valuable lesson I’ve learned over the years with the Law of Attraction: it’s best to stay in your lane.

What do I mean by stay in your lane?

Figure out what YOU do well and what YOU enjoy doing, and spend the bulk of your time doing that.

As it turns out, you will be well-supported (and very happy!) if you stay in your lane rather than try to do the work you aren’t inspired in doing.

In other words, avoid the trap of trying to “do it all.”

For me, learning the importance of staying in your lane was monumental. Perhaps it will be for you as well.

See, I used to believe that “you can’t trust anyone but yourself.” I took on lots of responsibilities I really had no business taking on…

For example:

I don’t like cooking and I’m certainly not an inspired chef, but before learning to stay in my lane I did the lion’s share of the cooking in my house.

To me, it was a tiresome chore. Even worse, it was a chore I was required to do at the end of the day after I’d gotten home from a long day at work. The agony!

As I learned to focus on my strengths and my interests, however, I became aware that although cooking was not my forté, it was something my husband did well and very much enjoyed doing.

So now, he is the house chef. He does great work, and takes pride in his creations. I now realize that not only was I overworking myself, I was preventing my husband from doing something he enjoyed doing.

PS. I was also preventing myself from eating better food;)

We’re all in this together

It’s common for many of us to see ourselves as individuals who don’t really need much help. However, we are designed to work together. We are all here to support one another. There are no one-woman or one-man shows out there.

Like pieces of a puzzle, the people around you are designed to do jobs and tasks that support you and the whole of the collective. It isn’t a competition to be the best at every task. Rather, life is a game we play together, cooperatively.

There are those who are excellent at cooking, while others are built for fire rescues. Some of us are skilled at communicating ideas, while others are better suited for building the technologies we use.

There are those of us who know how to make others laugh, while others are better for moral support. Some of us are intellects, others creatives, still others physically gifted.

And thanks to the Law of Attraction, we align with the resources we are open to receiving in life. Quite often, these resources are other people.

Don’t know how to solve a problem? The right person can come along and show you how to do it (or do it for you!).

Overwhelmed by a workload that more than exhausts your energy and resources? Reinforcements can magically appear to take that work off your plate.

However, to align with this universal support, we must be open to accepting it.

Accept the gifts others have for you

Shutting ourselves off to other people in an attitude of “I can do it myself,” prevents life’s angels and helpers from swooping in to bestow their gifts on you and me. Trust me, because this was my reality for many, many years (again, sheer agony).

So please remember to stay in you lane. Shine at your talents and do what you enjoy doing, and share your inspired work liberally with the world.

Know that by staying in your lane, you not only help the whole of humanity, but you also help yourself. When you acknowledge we each have a special role to play in this game we call reality, you open yourself up to receiving inspired assistance from the rest of the players.

So true! Great reminder to stick to my lane & at the same time stay open to others’ gift. Yes we are all on a journey together. That’s the reason why some people’s path crossed yours and leave and some stay a little longer.
Thank you for sharing this message freely, Andrea! And also for the work you do.
