Attract a Better Life by Looking for the Good in Others

So often we get annoyed, irritated and angry at the behaviors and personality traits of others.  We focus negatively on what we don’t like, and unfortunately this only brings out more behaviors and traits that we don’t like.  With the Law of Attraction, we get what we focus on, so by focusing negatively on others, we draw more negativity towards us.

However, we can turn this around simply by looking for the good in others.  When we choose to focus on the positive traits in others, the negative traits become less and less dominant in our realities.  The people around us begin to act in ways that make us feel good about humanity, rather than irritated by it.

Here are a few qualities to appreciate in others.  Keep looking for the good in others and you will attract more of these favorable behaviors and traits into your life!

Generosity:

The next time someone offers to buy you lunch, watch your kids or even just asks if you want a piece of gum, take a moment to dwell on that person’s generosity.  Generosity comes in many forms, and we are often blind to the small, generous acts that come our way daily.

Politeness:

While it is true that not everyone is polite, there are still a lot of people out there who exhibit politeness daily.  Observe and appreciate good manners: people holding the door open for you, the courteous guests at your party or those who simply say “please and thank you.” Become more aware of the polite behavior going on around you, and more people will demonstrate good manners in your presence.

Friendliness:

Some people are warmer than others, but we’ve all seen lots of people demonstrate friendliness.  To attract more friendliness into your life, focus more intently when someone offers you a hug or a smile.  Be a little more appreciative of the friendly acts of others.

Acceptance:

We often get hung up on the acts of bigotry, racism and misogyny that occur in society.  However, there are lots people out there who are accepting of others and their differences.  Take note of the people you come across who demonstrate tolerance and who accept others, without any judgement or belittlement.

Honesty:

There’s something to be said for someone who can give you a straight answer, even when the question is challenging or may threaten his or her ego.  Honest people are trustworthy individuals, and you know they will own up to their missteps and faults without blaming others.  The next time you witness true honesty, take a moment to think about how you appreciate this trait.

Helpfulness:

While some people may keep walking when someone drops their papers, or just drive by when a fellow driver’s car stalls out, there are always a few people in a crowd who will stop to lend a helping hand.  Become more aware of the people you see taking a moment to help their fellow man.

As we make an effort to focus on the above qualities in others, we will start to draw more of these behaviors and traits into our realities.  By focusing on generosity, politeness, friendliness, acceptance,  honesty and helpfulness, the Law of Attraction will bring us more circumstances and events that allow us to enjoy these positive attributes.  We can attract a better life, in part, by focusing on the things we like in other people.

So, the next time you are out and about, keep looking for the good in others! You might be surprised how many times you see the positive side of humanity.
