7 Steps to Manifesting What You Want Quickly and Easily
Though the Law of Attraction has often been summed up in three words (ask, believe, receive), this can feel a bit oversimplified, especially when we are just learning about the Law of Attraction, or when we’ve been having a hard time manifesting something that we really, really want. Fortunately, there are a few more steps to manifesting what you want that can provide a little more clarity on how to consciously create your reality.
Therefore, below I’ve compiled seven steps to manifesting what you want. They work pretty well for me, so feel free to use them on your journey of conscious creation!
7 Steps to Manifesting What You Want
1. What do you want?
Identify what your dream is. Write it down, and make sure to be specific about it.
2. Immerse yourself in the vision of it and feel it as if it is already your own.
Imagine that it is yours. Cultivate the feeling of having already manifested it.
3. Let it go!
Obsession is a dream killer. Once you’ve identified what you want and imagined the feeling of having it, you’ve done the creative work (which is to essentially send a message to the universe describing what you want). There’s no need to keeping thinking and focusing on your dream.
So at this point, it is important to relax, and remind yourself that it will come to you when it is the right time. When you have moments of doubt and “wondering when it’s going to get here,” (and chances are you will) remind yourself that all you can do is let go. Worrying and over thinking will never, ever work.
4. Acknowledge any clues that come your way.
After you’ve done the initial visualization work, naturally there will be some “clues” that start popping up. Somebody might tell you something that you need to know about your dream, or you might read something in a magazine that gives you an idea of how to “get” what you want. Whenever you see clues, pay attention. The guidance from the universe often comes in subtle ways.
5. Celebrate the accomplishments of others, and rise above envy.
When there is something that you want, and you see someone else get it before you, it is often natural to feel envious. “Why didn’t it come to me?” we often say. However, practicing the emotion of envy only drives our manifestations further away from us, because it’s an emotion of lack.
So instead, when the people around you achieve something you yourself want to achieve, look at it through the lens of attraction. If it’s something that you want, and people around you are getting it, this means that you are literally bringing what’s wanted closer to you. There’s no sense in getting upset about it, because the only reason your friend, coworker or relative got that thing that you want is because you are strongly radiating the essence of it with your own vibration.
Pat yourself on the back for bringing it closer to you to speed up your rate of manifestation.
6. Keep your mood up.
We will ever only manifest what we want when we are radiating positive energy. So spend as much time as you can trying to be happy. You don’t have to over think what it is you want to manifest, you only have to dream it up, let it go and get happy. That’s it. So play your favorite games, hang out with your favorite people and listen to your favorite music. Whenever you can, reach for better feeling thoughts to speed the process of manifestation.
7. But please, don’t beat yourself up when you’re not feeling your best!
While it is important to get into a high vibrational state, always remember that the way you feel is the way you feel. Don’t guilt yourself for having a bad moment here or there, because this only compounds the negative energy. Allow yourself to be where you are, even when you’re in a low vibrational state. Let the negative emotions run their course, and when you’re ready you can start to take action to move up the emotional scale again.
These are the steps that have worked for me in the past, and I make an effort to try to implement them as often as possible. Hopefully, they’ll work for you as well!

Some manifestation advice that may be helpful is this: You have to know (be 100% sure, without a doubt) that you are going to accomplish what you want to accomplish and/or that you are going to live the dream you want to live. If you know that you are going to do it, then you will. As long as you know, you will overcome all obstacles, but you have to really know. You can’t just think it will happen, you have to know it will. If you know it will happen, then not only will you stop at nothing to make it happen, but it will be what is meant to happen, and therefore it will happen. Hopefully that helps.

Yes Danny, I agree 100%. Getting to a place of knowing is absolutely critical. That’s when it “clicks.” 🙂 Thanks for sharing- Andrea

So, is it ok to continue to meditate on and visualize your goal(s) daily? I have read that you should say positive affirmations and reread your goals and think about your goals and intentions throughout your day on a daily basis in order to attract them into your life. You say to just visualize them once and then let it go. So, I guess I am a little confused as to how much is too much focus?
Andrea Schulman
Hi Michele!
Yes, many people and resources recommend daily meditation and visualization of your goals, and if this is working for you-by all means keep it up. In my experience, however, I have found that many people tend to get a bit obsessive with the end result when they meditate on a goal and visualize it daily. Rather than simply focusing on the goal, the daily attention creates worry and stress about when the goal will arrive, and this negative attention can repel, rather than attract, the thing we are reaching for.
Here’s the thing, we manifest stuff all of the time without having to meditate and visualize repeatedly. Like when you run into a friend you were just thinking about or you see something on television you were just talking about. You can create anything you like with ease, and this is a good thing to remember. The reason we struggle with the “big” things is because we tend to make a bigger deal out of them, and repeated daily effort, I feel, can compound this issue.
I guess the thing to ask is has repeatedly visualizing and meditating on your goals been effective for you? If it has, I say keep doing what’s working for you! If, on the other hand, this extra effort has yet to pay off-I would probably abandon this strategy because it might be adding more resistance than attraction.
I hope this is helpful! All the best,
Andrea 🙂

Yes, your explanation is very helpful, Andrea. Thank you! Sounds like the idea here is to just not get caught up in obsessing over the when, how, what, etc.. I am going to just keep it very light hearted and maybe visit my goal journal about once a week (only because I enjoy reading it over and envisioning it) and know deep in my soul that my goals are manifesting in the Universe’s perfect timing and I have nothing more to do or to worry about. 🙂

I’m glad my explanation was useful for you! Yes, just have fun with the process-that’s the best thing you can do 🙂 -Andrea

I have a question based off of number 3 let it go.. Does that mesn I shouldn’t focus on manifesting the exact same thing every day? I am focusing on getting to a new level in my MLM and becoming a top income earner. Daily I vision the same thing, affirm the same thing and think about it! Is this too much? Thanks!
Andrea Schulman
Hi Lea! Whether or not your strategy is “too much” depends on how the visualizing is working out for you…do you feel good about the visualizing and are you seeing results? If so, by all means keep doing what you’re doing-because it’s working. Some people do have good results with daily visualization, so long as they are able to feel good about the process:)
If the visualizing feels like a chore or is creating any anxiety or upset in your life, however, I would definitely let it go.
I hope this answer is helpful 🙂 -Andrea
Lea
Thank you! I have manifested many things this way but honestly it does feel like a chore! I don’t get excited to do it and I try to push it off. And there is some doubt in the back of my mind. So with the “let it go” way- would you only vision vision and ask for something you want once?
Andrea Schulman
Hey Lea 🙂
What I’ve found that works for me is to do “inspired” visualizing. So, I intentionally visualize maybe once just to get the ball rolling but then I drop the subject. Sometimes I will feel naturally drawn to fantasize about the outcome and if that is the case I will visualize again. But, it is always a spur of the moment thing. I just feel like thinking about it, so I do. This way, when I think about my dreams I am interested in them and I enjoy the process.
For example, maybe when I am driving down the road my mind will wander and I’ll suddenly be thinking about this thing I want to manifest. When this happens, I let the thoughts play themselves out.
If I were you I would probably let go of the required visualizing. If there are any small steps you can take toward your dream, go ahead and take them and let them pull you closer, but if not sit back and wait for inspiration to hit. Think about your dream when you feel inspired to and trust that the rest will be taken care of.
I hope this helps!
Andrea
Lea
Thanks a lot! I’m going to start doing this! Do you do inspired visualization daily?
Andrea Schulman
Hey Lea:)
Hmm…well, it happens a lot! I haven’t taken count of it yet, but perhaps I will. I have a number of things that I have put in the pipeline at any given time so if you add up all of the things I’m “working on” at any given time then yes, it’s probably close to once a day. Let me know how this strategy works out for you 🙂

That’s not true, don’t try to feel your best, happy or excited or you’ll crash into depression, the opposite. Because of these gurus I’ve felt handycapped when the truth was this doesn’t work for people who went through trauma and haven’t released their pain, and MOST of us have shadow work to do.
Stay neutral, no happy or depressed, balanced, centered, harmonized.
Andrea Schulman
That’s an interesting statement Iana! I suppose there may be less suffering in neutrality, for sure. I have come to feel that the transition from darkness to light is an expansive and worthy ride. I do my best to neutralize out the dark side as I can, and I work to amplify the happiness as it comes. This way I reap the benefits of the positive feelings, but I establish habits of thought and action that prevent me from spiraling downward in dark times.
Thanks for commenting!

Eliza
Hi Andrea,
Can you please explain something to me? I am a true believer in angels or and the “meant to be” – and a believer in LOA. Why? Because of Christian teachings mainly eg The lords will not ours. Be humble, put God first pray according to his will and so on. BUT i did a turn and have worked at being a Universe follower and not being vain, im doing ok.
In April this year i heard about someone im interested in being with another- for what ever emotional feeling reason i was gutted, before i knew it tears welled up yet i then got a massive gut feeling, ive had similiar before, but this time it was strong, it was in the pit of my gut a knowledge of it wasnt true- a over whelming secure feeling. And not to be mistaken, it was strong. I praised God and my angels. I wasnt following the univers e back then.
But that feeling was strong then. Ive been feeling since then that ive lost it. Ive consciously prayed and spoken to the angels, i want back this feeling- i didnt abuse it, i always thanked it, yet i seem to be numb. Ive had another set back and tried to find that gut feeling, that six sense, that gift from God- but im numb. Now on a commute to work tears in my eyes, trying to concentrate on the positive, trying to have that infalliable faith on the LOA – in God – but im numb. Cranky that my gift of gut feelings have been taken away. I doubt the LOA process, wish, hope, pray, try live positive, try harder, yet mid forties and destined to be a spinster- is not the prayer since my teens. Over 30 yrs consistently- to my friends im too fussy to me im careful. Raised in a (severely) mentally ill household taught me not to settle for second best. I broke the cycle, yet the universe seems to torement me like string and a kitten. Im not bragging but ive bought and 100% listed to subliminal messages, read your blogs, try to raise vibrations im already kind hearted so giving is my second nature. And give thanks for things, ive have been mindful of since childhood. Yet im here on the train, i travel over six hours a day to and back from Sydney for work, faithfully as im grateful for my job, i enjoy the commute- but today i again read a article on my desired and no gut feeling that its false. Im numb. Doubts and self blame for believing too strongly haunt me. I was doing well, i know that. But the universe has a punishment like Gods. I apologise in advance, and God forgive me, im choose not to be a door mat anymore. I choose to manifest but nature chooses to kick me in my now numb guts. I want back my gut feelings- my guardian angel i knew it to be. Hes asleep.
Andrea Schulman
Hi Eliza- yes, do follow your gut feelings…I make it my mission to follow my “gut” on what would feel better. What feels “good” is the path that will be easiest for you to take:) If you haven’t watched my series on love attraction yet, I highly recommend it for this question.
