You Have the Power to Turn a Bad Day Around
I used to think there were “bad days” and “good days,” and that these days were random-they had nothing to do with me. Now I know I have the power to turn a bad day around.
Before learning about the Law of Attraction, I remember driving to work nervously almost every single day.
“Will this be a good day or a bad day?” I wondered almost daily.
I didn’t know the answer to the question, and I waited for my reality to tell me what kind of day it was going to be. Some days were good, some days were bad, some days were horrible.
My drive to work felt like a game of Russian roulette. Life tossed me around like a rag doll on the daily.
No longer.
Now, I realize my reality is my creation, and if I am having a bad day, it’s 100% on me.
See, bad days don’t occur because your kids scream in the car or your boss gives you a lecture at work. They don’t occur because it rains or because an appliance breaks in your house. They even don’t occur when all 4 of these things happen in the same day.
So, then, why do bad days happen?
Bad days happen because of how we choose to react to the events in our lives. Something “happens” and we color it with our anger, distress, sadness and anxiety.
Bad days happen because we allow little moments to focus us into profoundly negative emotional states. Then, because we are walking around in a negative place, the universe just keeps throwing negative events at us one after the next.
After all, we can only attract what matches our internal state. If I get mad about something and allow that anger to fester and grow, I can be guaranteed that more things that make me angry are on their way.
This is how a bad day happens. It isn’t predestined and it isn’t required. It is simply a “snowball effect” that results from unconsciously reacting negatively to the stimuli in our environment.
So when I have a bad moment, I try to remember that I have the power to turn it around. And I almost always do.
Just because someone cuts me off in traffic doesn’t mean I have to get angry, honk my horn and bitch about “all the bad drivers on the road.” I can take a deep breath and choose to let it go.
Just because I make a mistake at work doesn’t mean I have to worry and fret about it. I can remind myself that everyone makes mistakes and that it is highly likely I will be just fine.

When ANYTHING happens, I have the power to respond in a way that will make things worse or better. That power resides 100% within me. I have the power to turn a bad day around, and so do you.
So the next time you have a bad moment, remember-you have the power to turn it around! You can feed into the annoyance, the anger or the sadness. Or, you can choose to have a good day anyway. The day isn’t choosing you, after all-you are choosing the day.
Look for the silver linings, pay attention to what is going well, and do your best to be positive under any and all circumstances. Consciously choose your reactions, and you’ll be consciously choosing good days every day of your life.

This is excellent advice! Thank you. It makes me more aware of my internal state and how often I pre-suffer…
