7 Simple Ways to Give Thanks Daily
Being grateful is a lifestyle choice. The more gratitude we express, the better life gets! Fortunately, there are many ways to give thanks daily as we move through life.
Here are a few ideas on how to incorporate more gratitude into your daily routine:
1. Upon waking:
As soon as you wake up, even before crawling out of bed, you can take a moment to give thanks for a few things you appreciate in life. Perhaps say a quick thanks for a good night’s sleep, a thank you for the new day before you, and thanks for your health.
Gratitude early in the morning gets your vibration up and running on a high level as you begin your day.
2. Before mealtimes:
Many people pray before breakfast, lunch and dinner, and this is a wonderful way to give thanks daily. Even if you are not the religious type, taking a moment to appreciate the food before you is something anyone can do several times a day.
3. Use a gratitude journal:
A journal can be a great place to give thanks daily. The nice thing about a journal is that as you add to it, you compile evidence of all of the blessings in your life.
As an added benefit, you can also always pull out your gratitude journal at any time you need an emotional boost. This can be helpful in stressful or upsetting times.
4. In meditation:
For those who practice daily meditation, gratitude can become part of this routine. Toward the end of your mediation, when you are fully relaxed and present, focus your mind on appreciating something currently happening in your life. Then, feel thanks as you breathe it in and out of your heart chakra (the center of your chest).
5. In a note:
After receiving gifts, favors or kind words from another person, send a quick thank you message via mail, email or text. Though sending elaborate thank you notes seems to have largely gone out of style these days (except for big events like weddings and births), a written thank you is still a great way to express gratitude.
Writing out “thank yous” for the things you receive from others is another easy way to help cultivate a more grateful lifestyle. It’s also a kind and personal gesture that will likely be appreciated! If sending a thank you letter in the mail isn’t your thing, you can always write a short email, text, or message via social media.
6. After experiencing synchronicity:
Synchronicities are little winks from the universe to let you know you are on track and moving in the right direction. Saying a quick “thanks” to the universe for the synchronicities you receive can help you attract even more synchronicities into your life!

7. Before bedtime:
It’s also a fantastic idea to give thanks right before bed. Feel appreciation for all of the good things that have happened during the day to end your evening on a high note.
So, do you give thanks daily? If so, what do you do to express your gratitude? Comment below and let me know!
All the best,

These are great and I do make gratitude a huge part of my day. From every dime I find to beautiful sunny days I am grateful. This year I have been writing a note every day “I am grateful for……” and putting it in a big jar, one for every day. I am looking forward to reading them at the end of the year. I also like to write one line “Happy Moments” in a journal….Happy Moment- seeing my daughter ride her bike for the first time.

Lovely article Andrea! I sometimes gives thanks by saying it out loud, but only when on my own! Thanking the universe for good things that happen to you or opportunities that come your way. I think it really does help to give you a boost and help raise your vibration.
